Patient UK - Provides information on health, self-help and support groups, as well as a directory of other useful websites and NHS advice.
Institute of Children's Health - A world-class centre for the study and treatment of childhood disease. It works in partnership with Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
Allergy UK - Information and support to sufferers and their families. You can access leaflets, factsheets and regular newsletters, as well as support groups and a telephone helpline.
SmokeFree - NHS advice for stopping smoking, along with helpful tools and a telephone helpline.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Support for alcohol problems and addiction, with helpful resources and a search function for your nearest meetings. There is also a helpline at 0800 9177 650.
National Eczema Society - Dedicated to supporting sufferers and their families.
Asthma UK - Provides education and support to those dealing with asthma. They can put you in touch with local support volunteers and run a helpline staffed by specialist nurses.
