Special Educational Needs & Disability
Pitton Pre-School works closely in partnership with all families and with any other agencies to meet the needs of all the children in the pre-school.
We have a designated Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) who supports and offers advice to staff and parents to enable children to be supported effectively and included in all that pre-school has to offer. The SENCo will also liaise with other professionals who may support your child.
Wiltshire's Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Local Offer contains clear, accessible information on all services relating to young people with SEND.

Please talk to one of the team, your Health Visitor or GP if you have concerns about your child. Some of the most common concerns are around sleeping, eating, toileting, behaviour and speech and language development. Pre-school, the Health Visitor and the Children's Centre will be able to offer you advice and support or signpost you to more appropriate support if required.
Further advice for speech and language issues can be obtained from the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service. There is lots of information and advice online. Parents and professionals can call the advice line and speak directly with a Speech and Language Therapist.
The list of organisations and charities dedicated to supporting families and children with special needs is extensive.
Here are just a few to signpost you to further information if required.
